ARINC and Abanco Partner to Develop New On-Board Sales Solutions for Airlines

Annapolis, Maryland, USA, August 6, 2007 - ARINC Incorporated, a global leader in airline communications, today announced it has signed a marketing and reseller agreement with Abanco, LLC, a major provider of mobile data and payment processing technology. The two companies plan to introduce an airborne data and payment system to make credit card payments at 30,000 feet as easy and secure as on the ground.Under the agreement, ARINC will license Abanco's market-leading MDT In-Flight productivity application, which is currently in use by many U.S. carriers. The two companies will leverage Abanco's proven technology with ARINC's data communications expertise, and plan to market a range of streamlined payment and inventory control solutions for on-board sales by airlines.

Abanco's MDT In-Flight solutions are successfully used for pre and post-flight inventory controls, real-time analytics, and passenger credit-card acceptance while countering in-flight fraud. In addition to supporting airlines' in-flight profit centers, Abanco's MDT solutions are deployed in environments such as railways, golf courses, and public events. By integrating with a number of ARINC's current communications technologies, airlines will be able to authorize air-to-ground sales transactions in real-time, as well as open a range of in-flight data solutions.
